Greetings! An understanding of our inner nature, and the relationship we have with our bodies (and their time on this world), is an essential part of coming to know Greater Life. Such understanding cannot come from opinions or speculation, but only from sharing conscious observations. I observe, as I look upon the whole, that life cannot possibly be a product of the universe. The universe, being a space/time expression of energy and matter, does not have the capacity to produce something that has a totally different nature than itself. The universe cannot create. Even science maintains that it has a cause. But life can create. The universe cannot love. It has no means of sharing the moment. But Life loves continuously. Energy and matter are dispersed when they are distributed. When energy and objects are shifted from one place to another, the amount at the original location is diminished. But Life grows when it is distributed. If I give a thought or a feeling to another, it is not gone from me. It is duplicated in another, and thus increases. By these simple examples one can see that Life and the universe are not the same at all. Further consideration reveals that the things which make life special are the same things that make it superior to energy and matter in terms of cause and effect. Consider that the universe cannot produce the foundation for life, but life can produce the foundation for the universe. Space and time are the foundation of the universe, and rhythm drives it. These factors (space, time and rhythm) can easily be caused by life. Life causes space by having and idea. Life causes time by deciding to act independently of its surroundings. Life causes rhythm by repeated effort. Since it is obvious that the universe cannot be the source of life, but that life actually CAN be the cause of the universe, it is possible to extrapolate by deduction that you are not your body, and your mind is not your brain. You are life. Your brain is matter. You have a brain and you use a brain. But you are not made of it. You are only experiencing it and expressing yourself physically in time. Instead, you are made of Life. You are not what you define yourself to be. You are a living part of the whole. You exist in the Living Moment as a natural extension of Absolute Love. Understanding your own self-definition is important for the life you are living in this world, but your survival does not depend on it. You extend your Source. It is not your choice. Your identity is not in what you do, but in what you are. Finding that sets you free in a way that words cannot touch. Greetings Blogger, Your visits are most welcome. Your questions are deep. This one is also particularly
sensitive because the issue of pain, in self or another, is almost always emotionally
charged. It can be difficult to see clearly that pain is a choice. We can see that sharing
the pain of another is a choice for sure, but seeing that our own pain is also a choice
can be more difficult. Nevertheless, we are immune to what we forgive. Pain does not exist
in eternal life. Life had to create the space/time universe to enjoy that treat. But one
thing is for sure. What you share will grow. Big or small, good or bad, life grows in the
direction it is shared. People who have pain also have their reasons for keeping it, if total honesty is
brought to the subject. People who share the pain of others only keep it real for both.
Healing happens when the reasons for disability are no longer kept. You can help others a
lot more by feeling and sharing the joy in another. If you can discover even a tiny spark
of joy, a smile or a grin, you are seeing the right way. Associate with that and healing
will be given room to enter. Do not minimize the power of your choices or your resolve. You are life, part of the
cause of the universe. The mortal reality we have is created by the life we invest in it.
What you share is your choice. However, what happens in sharing is not a choice but the
law of life itself. As life grows in sharing, so does all within it. Have you ever noticed that pain gets worse when you think about it and it diminishes
when you get your mind on something else? If you witness temporary pain, do not share it.
Do your best to be part of its healing. If you witness chronic pain, love the one who
hurts. Make them laugh as much as you can. Allow their mind to dwell on things uplifting.
It may not be possible to change their mind about who they are, but it may. Either way, as
you love them they will feel better. Share that. To answer your question concisely, you dissociate from it by understanding that sharing
their pain will not help them. But sharing their joy will. Living Love, Greetings Blogger, and thank you for posting! I will gladly share my view of prayer. Most people use prayer as a means of asking for something they want, but they believe they are unable to get it for themselves. The object of these prayers is always to acquire an object, or experience an event. In this configuration, God’s role is basically that of a genii, and the one who prays will love or hate God depending on whether they get what they want or not. I see that view as a mistake in identity that can be easily corrected by looking carefully at you, the object of your prayer, and God. Let’s look at you and God first. God is not a genii, God is the source of life. All life extends the whole, including you. By giving life unto you, God has given you all there is. You have the ability to create space and time. You have the ability to choose, and to create patterns in your life. By these powers, you are a co creator of the universe. Directly speaking, you are given the universe and everything in it, by the simple fact that you are life. Your free will is yours forever. How the universe presents itself to you is not God’s choice, but yours. If you see disease in another, you must have a belief in it in yourself. If you see the perfection in them, you will see their disease as nothing more than a bad choice. In this, they are healed and so are you. Now let’s look at you and the object of your prayer. One cannot ask God for objects because God has already given us each the whole universe. What more can be added when everything is given? If God gave you life, and life causes the universe, then God gave you the universe. From that perspective, it is clear that each person must have the means to get whatever they want, whenever they want, including health and happiness. The life we have given ourselves on this world builds a powerful case against that, but the case is flawed. Everything that happens begins as a choice that grows as it is shared. On a large scale it is easy to see that we experience the life we share. If we share love with one another, we have a world of peace. If we share anger and fear and guilt with each other, we have a world of trouble. Each world is a simple choice. What we share is what we have. But this power can be easy to ignore on a personal level. In society, we share by expressing ourselves. But within, we share by what we host in our mind, and in our heart. The thoughts and feelings we harbor within are the messengers we use to show us the universe. We must choose whether to believe the universe is a mystery to be feared, or an expression of free will to be used intelligently. What we believe is what we will see. What we share with each other will seem real to us. The objects that come into our possession and the events we experience are not given specifically by God, since God gave All. The specifics are a direct reflection of who you think you are, and what your will is. To consider the idea that one should pray without ceasing conjures up quite a picture if one thinks prayer means getting in a special pose, or a special place, or special cloths, or something like that. We can’t run around on our knees all the time praying. It would be hard to drive a car. So if the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, there must be something about prayer that we can carry with us all the time. When people pray, they consider themselves to be talking to God. When you talk to someone, you give your attention to them. So when you pray, the first thing you do is give your attention to God. The question is, where was your attention before you gave to God? If a person were to pray without ceasing, it would mean their attention would be always on God. This is where the genii concept of God falls apart. You can’t live an effective day if you go around thinking about some vague-but-judgmental personage looking over your shoulder all the time, and sitting at the controls of your life. But since God is the Spirit of being and being is the spirit of the universe, it is possible to understand God not as a vague shadow in the darkness, but as the living fabric of all we are and where we all have our experience. From that perspective, the word prayer can evolve into the word Worship. The idea of worship is addressed in SelfCom, right in Level One. Here is a quote from that volume: “In SelfCom exploration, Worship does not mean going to a church and getting on your knees. Worship is a much more general concept as you live the role of Eternal Being. In SelfCom, worship means, "giving attention". The way you feed and maintain your personal belief structure, on a day-to-day basis, even each minute, is your Worship. All SelfCom activity is executed with this perspective. This is a potent thought. What you think and what you do reveals what you worship. It does not matter what you say you worship. You worship what you serve by your service to it. Think about your life. What do you spend most of your time thinking about? Make an observation of this. Write it in your journal. What is important is that you begin to understand that worship is not a side issue in living. It is a process you use to anchor yourself to your life experience. Your worship is what you think about. Your worship is what you do. Your worship is the inner inclination towards acting a certain way. It is your deepest attitude as you live. This will be explored as you ascend through the levels of SelfCom.” From this quote you can begin to see that being in ceaseless prayer is not an extended activity, but a basis for being. It is a frame of mind that carries with it a way of life. To give your attention to God, and interpret your life from that perspective is what living in ceaseless prayer is. Upon giving attention to God, it becomes evident that God is present in all things, including self. It is the shared presence of God that replaces fear and confusion as a foundation for being when prayer is ceaseless.. Greetings again, Here are the verses from the New Testament that address our shared
nature in Christ: John 5: 19-24 19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things
soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that
himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. 21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even
so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment
unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the
Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 14:12 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my
Father. Romans 8, verses 14-18 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but
ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with
Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not
worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 1st John 3: 1-2 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that
we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew
him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear
what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we
shall see him as he is. Living Love, Greetings, I will be glad to share my perspective on the ascension that is to
take place with the second coming of Christ. People tend to have a lot of different ideas about Christ, the
return, and the great Healing that is come upon our world. And ideas as large as this are
necessarily more abstract to some and more real to others. Nothing can be said but speculation about the return of the Ascended
Jesus and what will actually happen. He already told us we couldnt know a lot of
that until after it happens. However, while Jesus demonstrated the reality of ascension, it
remains the responsibility of each individual to accept it within them, and share it. The
word Christ describes the Eternal Nature that each individual is a living part of. It is
our natural Created state that does not exist in the universe, but in the Living Moment.
It does not belong to any group or culture. It is part of us all, as we are part of it. A
lot of useless fear and war could be avoided by simply observing life as we live it. All
humans, and indeed, all lives on earth, share the same essence. A very common word for
that Eternal Life is Christ. Christ cannot belong to a group any more than
gravity can. Christ is the Wholeness of Life in which all little lives share their being.
Life is whole and we each are an aspect of it. We do indeed have to wait for Jesus to return to see what He will do.
But we do not have to wait for ascension. Jesus Himself showed us that, and told us about
it. I will gladly furnish the specific verses in the New Testament if you like. The
ascension is nothing more than a realization that our Eternal nature is real and our
mortal persona, being mortal, is not. Christ is within you, and within us all. He is the
Love that grows when we share it and the miracle of healing that happens when we care for
one another. He has no need to return because He never left. We only have to grant the
reality of our Eternal Nature, embrace it, share it, and ascend. Living Love, Peter
Also, thanks for stopping by Adam!!!! Great to see you on OurFoothills. Hope to see you in person soon… any time.
I have been considering this Blog for some time. It will be interesting to see what happens with it. Being in a very rural part of cyberspace, OurFoothills has gotten very few visitors. But times are changing. Growth is accelerating. That is what finally convinced me to begin these posts. Something amazing is happening. I want a public chronicle of the story as it emerges. Is there really a story here? Time will tell. With the world ethics being what they are, you cannot tell if I am telling the truth or if I lie. Even if I swear to be honest in my testimony, your interpretation is completely up to you. I can only write what I know and leave the reaction to those who read it. Life is real. A lot of people think it is a byproduct of the universe, but that view is incorrect. Life is the cause of the universe. Even though we knew it by faith, it took a long time for Bruce and I to reason that out. I have expressed it briefly as the Theory of Wholeness. There is a link to it from the OurFoothills front page. In my way of thinking, it is not a matter of IF the universe is caused by life but instead, it is a matter of HOW life causes the universe. That is what we have discovered. Many have discovered it in different degrees. That movie “The Secret” really nails a main factor. People make a bigger deal out of it than they have to. It really is simple. You create a space around you by the way you think and feel… and what you do. The space you create automatically attracts the form that best matches it. That is a big thing people can realize. Space is not a mere void. In fact, it is the energetic properties of space that direct energy and regulate form. Space is not a passive part of a process. Space is a charged envelope that surrounds the life aspect, and furnishes the energy-environment for the events that happen within it. It is hard for lots of people to believe that. I understand. It was difficult to get my brain wrapped around it too. It is difficult at first to get a handle on exploring life because we ARE life and that makes us so close to the action that we miss it. There is a necessity to practice keeping aware of your attention. That is a skill few have developed. But it is a necessary skill in the exploration of life. Truly, where you keep your attention forms the center of all that happens to you. Anyway, this September it will be exactly thirty years since Bruce and I began our investigation. At that time we decided to do a test. Our study of science assured us that what we think and feel is a meaningless result of mindless energy activity at an atomic level. Our study of religion and philosophy assured us that what we think and feel causes our experience. Which is true? Each side uses great authority to make their case. But each side maintains a logic structure that is clearly flawed. We decided to become test subjects in a great experiment. It took deep discussion and soul-searching, which lasted throughout the summer of seventy-seven, to plan our approach. In the autumn, we gave everything we owned away except what we would need to survive on the road. We took our car to the junkyard, got our forty dollars, pulled our backpacks out of the back seat and began the investigation. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since that day. We jumped off the deep end and never came out. We like it here. In fact, we now are able to invite others to join us. The “rabbit hole” they mention in the movie “The Matrix” is real. But you do not take a pill to go in. You only make a choice and stick to it. It is like having a tiger by the tail for a while. Then it planes out into a whole new perspective on life, living, and growth towards a sane and happy world. Most people are not ready to embrace the power of their presence. That will change as the simplicity and rightness of it is revealed. For now, the ones who can must. A new frontier is dawning in the awareness of humanity. I know that because I am human and a new awareness has dawned in me. I am eager to share it with all who want. Our investigation has taken a new and happy turn. With our theory stabilized, we begin exploring more tangible aspects of life as it expresses itself in time and space. That is why I made this Blog. We know that life grows in sharing. We invite you to know it too.

Greetings Peter! I know today finds you both in great spirits, health and vitality!
Ahh, my searching has brought me to this question, Am I my mind? And if I am my my mind, then my body is my mind. If they are one in the same I must realize my true image through constant imagination? "As a man thinketh, so he is." ??

Thanks! Another question from the blogger=) Within the Living Waters where we all share our Oneness, do you feel others pain? If so, how do you dissociate from it to only feel the love that we all are apart of?

I was wondering what your thought is on praying? If God know everything would it not be lack of faith to pray for something? The bible says: "Pray without ceasing."; but when we 'pray' for a healing or a 'thing' is this not lack of faith on our part? Thank you in advance Peter ! Blessings, Be well!

When we start activly shaping these moments we take back some of our power, in our ability to shape our entire Life. Elevating these moments out of the rut is what makes an extraordinary Life. Out of the quagmire and into the Light where they can be seen as they are, building blocks to your entire existence. You must understand that each of these moments we shape in a negative way effects us down the road. Well what really constitutes negative, and of course it varies widely but even the smallest unremembered moment that perhaps triggered something other than Love, could be veiwed this way. Also remember each of these moments or thoughts, for that matter, act as water dropplets on the River of Life, this flow of energy that reacts to us, and us to it even if we are unaware, and compound and feed off each other or amplify each other or cancel out one another. These moments we fail to shape in a way that feed growth, come back to create a physical manifestation that could be seen in negative Light. But one key that might not seem so visible is as much as we like our indivuality there is MORE than that. More than just me as an individual? Or more than just us as a Race or country? Well yes we are all bound of the same stuff. We all come from the same place. Now if only we could be as One Mind, One Heart. The harder we draw these self imposed boundries and borders, the deeper we fracture the Human Race. The more we section ourselves off the thicker these walls become and thus push away the very source of our Power, each other and our creator we were never meant to act in division this way we fall. One capacitor charging the next in succesion. IMAGINE THAT. We can still maintain an individual zeal but our goals are the same despite the different interpretations of the truth.

Individuals often find themselves locked in battle with Life, yet others seemingly breeze through or seem to get everything they desire. There is a simple truth that fails to take hold in most, is that it IS very simple. To live Life in the moment is not some obscure concept, it is a Universal Truth! The Life U live in this very moment carves your entire Future. There is not more than one now, it is only NOW, not the next moment or the next. It IS ONLY NOW. The moment after now is your Future not the Now. How you shape this now moment determines the next, nothing vague or obscure at all.

It seems hard to keep out the shadows in your mind but you are never alone in exploration. Even if you have your own routine and everything your own, because Life is like a great big chalk borard and that remains the same for everyone. While you can't ever control someone elses actions, you can control your own interactions and every aspect of your Life for that matter. Writing it how you see fit, thats where alot of happiness can be found. With a little patience, and a solid foundation you can write what you want, draw what you want and erase what you want. Honestly there are NO outside forces pushing our lives in a certain direction, other than our own.

When you get to a point where you feel that all is lost, everything is wrong, remember that everything has a balancing piece, a yin for each yang. Remember that you are a perfect, wonderous child, a creation of God and made in His image with a piece of Him living inside of you. At those times when you start to doubt, close your eyes and imagine that God light inside of you and focus on it, let it build, feel its intensity and allow it to grow. Then start to see your world in the most positive light you can and welcome all the gifts you are given, even those that test your Spirit. Let go of the things that weigh you down, because when you focus your energy on them instead of the love that is inside of you and that surrounds you, evil wins. Remember even the darkest of darknesses can be extinguished by the flame of a single candle, use that candle to light another and another and eventually not even a shadow will exist.

I wonder if there is a reason why sometimes it seems that everything out there is just plain wrong. I know about the heat and trust me, I try to look for it in times when things go wrong, but it is so hard to tell when someone or something is working on thier own steam, so to speak.
I try to make love something that drives my life, however it just seems impossible when I feel so alone in my motives.
It is really hard to keep myself from hate in this world.
So hard to stay strong.

Also i think another good question would be "What really constitutes "Real" any way? It only ever attains that status when we attach meaning to it in a way that is either specific to the Self, or your defininition of what constitutes self, or the Universal understanding in Humanity as a whole.

Greetings from Peter,
I have considered the question below with care. There are a lot of ways to know reality… be it of self, or any other life. It can be seen in the mind, in the heart, and in the sharing of love. But none of these will be visible unless you look at them.
It may be more useful to know what it is that makes you consider the possibility that you are not real. Can you say?

Thoughts of a Spiritual Traveler
Let me just say, first I say Spiritual Traveler because while I do believe in One true God(because I feel the connection), I also believe that we are here simply to experience Life and nothing more, other than what you put into it. What you choose to do with it is your choice alone. Anything beyond just experiencing Life is created by one's own power. Given to each by God, upon our choice to experience this particular experience. Creating an individual experience is lifes goal, as well it should always undergo constant CHANGE and MAINTENANCE,a constant state of Growth, if you will. Why, because its neccesary. And Creating is exactly what we do, with No interference from God because he Created us in his image and with Free Will. When people of similar mind get together on the same page, Anything is possible, literally. Many people through the ages have figured this out, and made the "impossible" "possible" so to speak. And once we all aknowledge our connection to one another and to God, we can preserve this experience for future Spirtual Travelers. That is a big part of my experience, but it is also in a perpetual state of revision, as it should be. While some things should remain "tried and true", other things NEED to grow.
